MeDirect Malta has launched its new Business Mastercard debit card, designed to give businesses greater control, flexibility, and security in managing their finances. As Malta’s first digital bank, MeDirect is offering Business customers a seamless experience which empowers teams while maintaining oversight and control.
MeDirect’s Business debit card, which can be used wherever Mastercard is accepted, offers plenty of flexibility. Businesses can opt for either physical or virtual cards, depending on their operational needs. Cards can be issued to employees based on roles and responsibilities, whether for travel, procurement, or online transactions.
In addition, Businesses can set personalised daily and monthly limits for team members. These limits, up to a maximum €15,000 daily and €75,000 monthly, ensure cards are used appropriately. These limits also include a maximum of €1,000 for ATM withdrawals and controls on where in the world the card can be used.
All business debit cards issued by MeDirect also offer seamless digital management with the ability to manage card accounts and approve transactions. This helps to maintain secure oversight of business spending. Through MeDirect’s corporate online banking portal, businesses can open card accounts, order new cards, review pending approvals, and monitor transactions in real time. Organisations can also instantly freeze, unfreeze, cancel, replace, or terminate physical or virtual cards.
Sean Debattista, Head – Corporate Services at MeDirect Malta, said, “Our Business Mastercard debit cards are more than just a payment tool, they are a strategic asset for modern financial management. Offering flexibility and security, our physical and virtual cards add an important new layer to the expanding suite of efficient digital and personal services which MeDirect is offering to Malta’s business community.”
