The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, in collaboration with Teatru Astra in Gozo, presents Il Trovatore, on Thursday 24th and Saturday 26th October at 7.30pm.

On the 26th of October, Teatru Manoel presents Strauss for Two Pianos, a magical night of music commemorating works by Richard Strauss, a leading composer of the late romantic and early modern eras. A concert that is being held on the 70th anniversary of his death, is a unique opportunity to listen to his magnificent orchestral pieces arranged for Two Pianos..

Lo Speziale, an 18th century opera buffa by Joseph Haydn, will be performed at Teatru Manoel this weekend. Haydn composed this opera for Prince Nicholas Esterhazy for the prince’s Court Theatre at Esterhaza Castle.

The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra’s first concert at Teatru Manoel for this season will be held on Friday 4th October. Under the baton of Raoul Lay, the event marks the conductor’s first engagement as the MPO Artistic Director.

MeDirect strongly believes in sports and is a proud supporter of Otters ASC in Gozo. As part of the yearly agenda, the Club has worked hard during autumn and winter both to strengthen the Senior Team Squad and also to keep the promising Under 13 and Under 15 Players ‘in touch with water’ due to the lack of a pool in Gozo.
