MeDirect Malta has supported an educational conference organised by the Malta Association of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (MAGNA). The event, addressed by leading experts in gastroenterology and endoscopy, formed part of MAGNA’s ongoing efforts to provide professional nurses and other health care providers with continuous professional development.

Ray Calleja, Head – Private Clients at MeDirect Malta, said, “MeDirect is committed to helping different sectors of our community in developing their full potential. Healthcare professionals are, undoubtedly, one of the greatest assets any country has and their professional development is, therefore, something definitely worth supporting.”

MAGNA, which is a non-profit organisation, was established in late 2021 and is open to professional nurses and other health care providers who have an interest in gastroenterology and particularly in endoscopy. MAGNA regularly organises educational lectures, talks, presentations and seminars. The latter are also open for all health care providers including medical students, junior and senior doctors, consultants, and other medical specialists.

Joe Garzia Stafrace, President at MAGNA, said, “Although as an NGO we are focused on a very specialised area, it is great to see the growing interest in our educational events from across the medical profession. We are thankful to organisations like MeDirect who support our work and so help us to deliver a better service to patients in all of Malta’s hospitals.”
