The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, supported annually by MeDirect Bank, returns to Teatru Manoel on the 21st of May, for a chamber soirée with renowned South Korean violinist Soyoung Yoon, prize winner of various prestigious competitions, most notably the Yehudi Menuhin Competition and Henryk Wieniawski Competition.
The Four Seasons by Vivaldi and Piazzolla come together in a lively amalgamation of Baroque music and tango. Originally scored for quintet, Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires honour Vivaldi’s timeless violin concertos with enthralling violin solos inspired by the musical traditions of his native Argentina.
