Global Earth Day is an annual event held on the 22nd of April, in which over a billion people demonstrate and support environmental conservation and the protection of our planet.
The official theme for 2022 is ‘Invest in Our Planet,’ a way to give back to the earth and raise awareness of the growing problems of air, water and land pollution.
What we do and how we do it has a huge impact on our ecosystems. At MeDirect, we are always looking for new methods to conserve our planet and make our staff aware of how their activities influence our home. From reducing paper consumption in the office, making proper use of recycling bins, to restricting our use of single-use plastics. Our earth is our only home, and we need everyone to do their part while there is still time.
In honour of this year’s Earth Day, MeDirect held its own Earth Day clean-up last Saturday at Golden Bay. Picking up rubbish, including microplastics and cigarette ends, along our gorgeous beaches.
