MeDirect Employees donate €525 to Angela House – Ursuline Sisters through a fund-raising raffle.

Angela House was built 60 years ago and was the first one of its kind to be built in different apartments to house a group of children together with a Sister. This home is now run by the Ursuline sisters, where the nuns provide a safe haven for 30 children passing through difficult times. The sisters look after their physical and psychological health, their education and all they need in order to grow into successful and responsible citizens.

Over the years, many developments have taken place at Angela House. A gym has been built which also houses a dance room and therapy rooms where the children can meet their therapists and psychologists. The swimming pool has also been refurbished making it larger and ensuring it meets safety standards. The sisters completely refurbished the children’s apartments over the last 6 years with the latest project being revamping the children’s play area and including new equipment. The ongoing project at the moment is building a 5-a-side football pitch.

The sum of €525 was collected and passed on to the nuns. These funds will contribute to the maintenance carried out throughout the house as well as the daily expenses they will come across in order to give the children the best upbringing possible.
