MeDirect Malta employees have presented a donation to Inspire to mark World Autism Day, which takes place each year on 2 April. The funds were raised by employees through a raffle which was organised.
Presenting the donation to Inspire’s Retail Operations Manager Luke Montebello, Jael Busuttil, Technical Product Owner at MeDirect, said, “The Inspire Foundation has, for many years provided so much support to people with disability, especially those on the autism spectrum, having profound learning difficulties and behaviour that challenges. At MeDirect we often organise initiatives to support various charities and with World Autism Day coming up it felt like a good idea to organise a fundraising raffle. Plenty of employees took part and it’s good to be here today to hand over the donation.”
Through its dedicated staff and employees, Inspire provide free or heavily subsidised services and activities to help beneficiaries lead a better life. The organisation needs to raise more than €3 million a year to support its operations and relies on corporate and public donations for support.
