Wealth Manager (Gozo)


Duties and responsibilities

  • Promoting and attracting new affluent and mass affluent customers
  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of customer reviews in line with the bank’s procedure
  • Assisting and attending to customer queries with regards to e-banking, deposit, account opening and other matters
  • Effectively communicating with other areas of the Bank to promote cross-selling
  • Keeping abreast with financial news, industry best practices and related legislation in order to provide support to customers
  • Performing administrative duties to fulfil the exigencies of the role, including but not limited to setting up of new customers, opening of new accounts, updating customers data on the Bank’s core systems, ensuring documentation of customers’ files and investment recommendations is kept up to date
  • Processing receipt of customer cheque deposits, inputting such deposit into the bank’s core system, issuing and advice to customers and scanning the related documentation on the Bank’s document management system

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Diploma for Financial Advisors (DipFA) and/or Banking and finance or another equivalent qualification from a tertiary education institution (at least MQF Level 6 or higher).
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
  • Preference will be give to applicants who are already PQ’ed and approved to provide investment advice by the MFSA

Junior Finance Analyst – Management Reporting


  Duties and responsibilities

  • Preparing reconciliations and journal entries as part of the month-end closing process
  • Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing the monthly accounts for small affiliated entities
  • Reviewing and clearing suspense, intercompany and similar accounts
  • Preparing revenue and expenditure variance reports for discussion with team managers
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports for discussion with business owners
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual operating expenditure budget
  • Preparing sales invoices and following up on receivables
  • Assisting with annual and interim audits
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly finance reports for the Board of Directors

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant
  • Very good command of MS Excel
  • Good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, mainly PowerPoint
  • Previous work experience in a similar role will be considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges with a positive, can-do attitude

Back Office and Settlements Officer


Duties and responsibilities

  • Processing of Incoming and Outgoing Payments
  • Processing of Payment investigations
  • Clearing of Local and Foreign Cheques
  • Inputting of Journal Entries
  • Working on administrative tasks which include the scanning and filing of documentation
  • Assisting the Senior Officer or the Manager in their day to day duties whilst ensuring that this is done in an efficient and timely manner
  • Supporting any requests coming through internal departments and external institutions 

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Diploma in Finance, Banking, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of SWIFT/SEPA functionality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset

Finance Analyst (Dutch/French speaking)


  Duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of daily and monthly management reporting in relation to the various lending portfolios
  • Supporting the team in the accounting analysis and implementation of new products 
  • Assisting the team in the preparation of the inputs for the calculation of the expected credit losses on the lending businesses
  • Contributing to the compilation of annual financial statements pursuant to BEGAAP for local reporting and IFRS

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Accounting qualification or in the process of obtaining such qualification, possibly having finance or auditing work experience
  • Experience in accounting of lending portfolios such as Dutch and Belgium Mortgage Accounting is considered an asset
  • Strong communications skills in English (written and spoken). Professional knowledge of French or Dutch

Quantitative Financial Analyst


Duties and responsibilities

  • Building analytical models to analyse and simulate the outcome of business proposals
  • Analysing datasets, identifying trends and other notable factors in such datasets
  • Building queries to generate reports from single or multiple systems
  • Developing reports and communicating the results of the analyses to stakeholders
  • Automating data collection processes
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • A University degree in statistics, finance, economics, computer science or a related field
  • Good knowledge of coding and statistical software (e.g. VBA/Python) is an asset
  • Very good command of MS Excel
  • Good communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint
  • Previous work experience in a similar role will be considered an asset

Relationship Officer


Duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting customers as a first point of contact at the branch
  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of customer reviews in line with the bank’s procedure
  • Assisting and attending to customer queries with regards to ebanking, deposit, account opening and other matters
  • Effectively communicating with other areas of the Bank to promote cross-selling
  • Keeping abreast with financial news, industry best practices and related legislation to be able to provide support to customers
  • Performing administrative duties to fulfil the exigencies of the role

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
  • Willing to undertake a Diploma in Financial Advice
  • Diploma in Banking or equivalent and previous experience within the Financial services sector will be considered an asset
